Formula Student career

MART Formula Student is a team founded in 2016 formed by students from Malaga who participate in Formula Student, a global competition in which universities from all over the world participate. In this team, we design, manufacture and assemble our own racecar, with which we participate in the different categories of the competition.

The team participated in its first competition in 2021 in FS Spain with the first combustion prototype. Since then it has participated in European competitions such as Netherlands, Germany and Austria, achieving podiums and finishing in the top 5 in the ranking of the Spanish teams. From the year 2022 he started the development of an electric vehicle, competing with it for the first time in the season 2024.

During my time with the team, I started as part of the power department, responsible for the power delivery of a 600cc internal combustion engine from a sportsbike. During this phase, which lasted two seasons, I had the opportunity to design and manufacture certain engine components, such as various exhaust manifolds and engine cooling systems. I was also involved in the manufacture of a throttle valve, intake manifolds and transmission manifolds. I also learned to develop the engine controls and injection parameters and the vehicle's data acquisition system, both dynamic and engine data for perfect tuning. 

During my last year in the team, in the 2022/23 season, I was fortunate to be part of the management as a Technical Director. My job involved overseeing and coordinating 6 technical departments, designing and defining the car's concept, as well as being responsible for its tuning for each of the tests and dynamics events.

Additionally, I was one of the team's drivers. I helped develop the car and fine-tune it for the competitions during various tests throughout the season. I drived in 50% of the dynamic tests in two different competitions, Formula Student Germany and Formula Student Spain.
